God, it's a sin this band isn't huge. Quirky indie songs that are pretty uncharacterisable; a melange of psych-pop and post-punk that is even sometimes strangely reminiscent of the fun and quirky electro of Hot Chip. The songwriting is playful and profound in equal measure. Psychedelic, funky, brash, ethereal... I can only describe HMSM by what it's not: folk, jazz, death metal, rap or bad. And, to these ears, "bad" is the only thing these guys couldn't turn their hand to.

Falco's best since 'Rock me Amadeus', and possibly before. in a just world anybody that had written and recorded hamsterland would spend the rest of their days lounging on a yacht with an unending queue of Tahitian girls bringing them trinkets and baubles, feeding them grapes and catering to their every whim. however, I've been to Cardiff, and it's not quite that. bloody Thatcher.
